Melissa Rosenblum-Pisetzner concentrates her practice on representing persons’ accused of criminal and quasi-criminal offenses in the State and Municipal Court of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Ms. Rosenblum-Pisetzner aggressively defends such person in trials, motions, bail hearings, sentencing hearings, violations of probation and parole, appeals, and all criminal proceedings.

Prior to joining the Law Offices of Joseph A. Levin, LLC, Ms. Rosenblum-Pisetzner taught Criminal Justice courses in the Law and Justice Department at Rowan University for five years. Ms. Rosenblum-Pisetzner taught Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Sentencing, as well as legal writing.
In addition, Ms. Rosenblum-Pisetzner served as an assistant public defender at the Defender Association of Philadelphia for seven years. As an assistant public defender, Ms. Rosenblum-Pisetzner tried a multitude of trials involving serious felony charges against her clients. For example, in Commonwealth v. GM, Ms. Rosenblum-Pisetzner secured an acquittal for GM for indecent assault, simple assault, and harassment. Ms. Rosenblum-Pisetzner has also successfully argued motions to suppress evidence in cases involving guns, drugs and other contraband.
During her tenure at the Defender Association of Philadelphia, Ms. Rosenblum-Pisetzner also served as a supervisor in the Juvenile Unit. While working in the juvenile unit, Ms. Rosenblum-Pisetzner successfully defended juvenile clients at trial. For example, Ms. Rosenblum-Pisetzner represented a juvenile, JD, who was charged with second degree Robbery and related offenses. After a trial, JD was found “not guilty” of all charges. This case is representative of the innumerable “not guilty” verdicts secured by Ms. Rosenblum-Pisetzner on behalf of her clients.
Ms. Rosenblum-Pisetzner graduated cum laude and with honors from Widener University School of Law. At Widener, Ms. Rosenblum-Pisetzner was a member of Moe Levine Trial Advocacy Society and won FIRST PLACE in the Hugh B. Pearce Trial Competition. In addition, she was selected as a research assistant in legal writing and research. While at Widener, Ms. Rosenblum-Pisetzner received the Wapner, Newman & Wigrizer award for her commitment to public interest service.
Ms. Rosenblum-Pisetzner received her Bachelor’s degree in Politics from Ithaca College. While at Ithaca College, she created, wrote, edited and published a political magazine. Furthermore, as a senior, she was selected as a teacher’s assistant and taught political science to freshman.
Ms. Rosenblum-Pisetzner is admitted to practice in all State and Municipal Courts in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
